Dear
Bride and Groom,
When you contact me we will set up an appointment to meet and
discuss your hopes and dreams for your wedding. If we are unable
to meet in person before your wedding, I am happy to discuss
ideas by phone and e-mail.
I
will design your ceremony to express your unique bond of love.
I encourage you to include any prayers, poems, and promises
that are meaningful for you. Your ceremony may have a special
theme, perhaps Celtic or interfaith. You may choose to write
your own vows and ring exchange or choose from the many that
I have available. Family or friends may want to take part in
your ceremony by doing special readings.
A variety of symbolic rituals, historically grounded, can be
incorporated to give your ceremony deeper meaning:
• the ancient custom of the hand fasting or “tying
the knot”;
• sharing the wine cup;
• acknowledging your parents in a special way;
• if you have children, including them through a gift
giving ritual;
• commingling sand or lighting a unity candle is a unique
way to express your oneness
• ethnic customs from your background
After
the ceremony I offer you a beautiful keepsake of your wedding
vows and ring exchange. I will deliver your marriage license
to the county clerk for filing and make sure that your paperwork
is in order. I want your wedding day to be as stress free as
possible.
It
is my great honor to be part of your special day. I promise
you a commitment to detail while performing your ceremony with
dignity, love, and joy.
Many
blessings,
Reverend
Lorie Adoff
