“Explore, discover, walk, respond, tell your story”
are different ways of describing the spiritual journey on
which we find ourselves. At different times in our lives we
may question and long for a greater vision. Spiritual Direction
is an opportunity under the guidance and wisdom of a loving
person to look at our lives and be attentive to the movement
of God as we perceive it. The Spiritual Director guides us
to listen to that still small voice within and helps us respond.
If
you decide to enter into spiritual direction you will meet
with your spiritual director to determine if this is a relationship
that works well for you. A monthly meeting with your spiritual
director can help you maintain your awareness on your spiritual
journey. Your spiritual director may be of the same faith
tradition as you but that is not necessary. Often there is
an agreed upon fee.
